Stages of business registration in Belgium

The process of establishing a company in Belgium is standardized, but requires careful preparation of documents and compliance with procedures.

Preparation and legalization of documents. For foreign founders, a copy of the passport and proof of address must be provided. These documents must be translated and apostilled. We take care of all the hassle associated with legalization.
Opening a temporary account and forming capital. For a BV/SRL, it is necessary to form an authorized capital. The funds are deposited into a temporary bank account, and after registration, they are transferred to the company’s account.

Registration in the Unified Register of Legal Entities (KBO/BCE). This is a centralized body where companies receive a unique identification number. Registration is carried out through a Belgian notary.
Registration with tax authorities and social security organizations. After receiving a KBO number, the company registers as a VAT payer and receives a registration number in the social sector for paying employee contributions.
