Depending on the severity of the crime, the law provides for different penalties:

• Fine.
• Seizure of property.
• Arrest.
• Deprivation of liberty.
• Prohibition to hold certain positions / engage in certain activities.

Punishment for bribery in accordance with Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

1. Fine from 1,000 to 4,000 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens (hereinafter referred to as NMDG), arrest from 3 to 6 months, imprisonment for a period of 2 to 4 years.
2. For illegal benefit in a significant amount (100 or more times higher than the NMDG) – imprisonment for a period of 3 to 6 years with a ban on holding certain positions.
3. For unlawful benefit committed by an official on a large scale (200 or more times the NMDG), or by prior conspiracy of a group of persons – imprisonment for a period of 5 to 10 years, confiscation of property, a ban on holding certain positions.
4. Illegal benefit on an especially large scale (500 or more times more than the NMDG) – imprisonment for a period of 8 to 12 years, with confiscation of property and deprivation of the right to engage in certain activities (up to 3 years).
