Accreditation of a medical institution
Accreditation of a medical institution is an official confirmation that the institution meets established standards of medical care, has an appropriate level of organization, staff, equipment, and quality control. For private and municipal medical institutions, accreditation is often a condition for participation in government orders, contracts with the National Health Service of Ukraine, or tenders.
Accreditation under martial law
During martial law, the state did not cancel accreditation, but introduced a number of relaxations and transitional provisions, including:
- extension of the validity periods of existing accreditation certificates;
- a simplified approach to individual criteria if activities are carried out in a combat zone or a relocated facility operates in temporary premises;
- the ability to submit documents remotely with subsequent in-person verification.
At the same time, this does not mean that accreditation has become a formality – the commission continues to assess the compliance of the medical facility with minimum safety standards, personnel management, the availability of licensed equipment and medical protocols.
List of documents required for accreditation
The full package depends on the form of ownership and type of care, but typically includes:
- Establishment documents
— extract from the Unified State Register, charter, regulations on the institution. - License for medical practice + annexes.
- Approved structure of the institution.
However, to confirm compliance with the standard, it is necessary to meet the requirements, which are confirmed by other documents:
- Personnel block
— orders for admission, diplomas, certificates, category certificates, employment contracts, attestation letters. - Material and technical base
— acts on equipment, certificates of conformity, accounting logs, service contracts. - Medical documentation and protocols
— regulations on infection control, SOPs (standard operating procedures), clinical protocols, local instructions. - Quality and patient safety system
— regulations on risk management, incident reporting algorithms, control logs. - Additionally for wartime (if necessary)
— notification of relocation, acts of temporary premises, evidence of functioning in special conditions.
Preparation for accreditation is not only “assembling a folder”. The commission checks the actual state — the correspondence of documents to practice, and not vice versa.

How can I get a disability group?
In order to understand whether you can receive a disability group, a lawyer studies your medical documents in detail, consults with specialist doctors, and then concludes whether you have grounds for registering a disability and which group.
If there are grounds, the lawyer gives comprehensive advice on what and how to do to maximize the chances of receiving a positive opinion of the medical board.
If necessary, the lawyer provides full support.
