Student visa for Indians
In 2025, the requirements put forward during the student visa application process have changed. This is a revision of immigration policy in many countries, which is associated with economic challenges and adaptation to new global standards. The key criteria relevant when applying for such a visa are a valid passport, a letter of admission to a foreign educational institution, academic transcripts and proof of financial solvency. Additional documents on health insurance and certificates confirming the level of knowledge of English or another language are also important. If you are interested in legal support in obtaining a visa, you can contact the lawyers of the “Prikhodko & Partners” Law Firm for this service.

France

Canada
Canada has made some changes in the education sector. The number of student permits has been reduced by 10 percent compared to 2024. This is done to regulate the burden on infrastructure and housing.
As for the requirements, it is worth mentioning the student visa with the mandatory letter of acceptance and academic documents. Equally important is the proof of financial capacity, as in the cases of the countries listed above.
In terms of employment, the requirements for combining it with studies are identical to those in France. And in the context of postgraduate prospects, it is worth mentioning the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) program, which allows you to work for up to 3 years.
Australia
When discussing the topic of studying in Australia, it would be appropriate to first mention the increased requirements for knowledge of English, as well as the introduction of restrictions on the number of student visas.
Among the requirements is a student visa subclass 500 and accompanying documents. This includes a passport, a letter of admission and a financial guarantee. During the course of study, a student can work up to 40 hours per 2 weeks. During the holidays, the number of working hours is unlimited.
The Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) is a post-graduate visa that opens up after completing an education in Australia and allows you to work for 2 to 4 years.
United Kingdom
As for the socio-political changes in the field of education, the requirements for the financial solvency of foreign students, as well as the conditions for obtaining a Graduate Visa, have now been changed.
Among the requirements is a student visa (Tier 4), confirming academic achievements and financial guarantees. Employment in parallel with studies is possible if the student works up to 20 hours a week. During the holidays, it is possible to work full-time – as in France and Canada.
A postgraduate perspective is to apply for a Graduate Visa, which allows you to stay in the country and work for up to 2 years. For doctoral programs, the period is 3 years.

To study in Slovakia, you need to apply for a national student visa and provide a valid passport, a letter of acceptance to an educational institution, academic transcripts, and documents confirming financial solvency.
