What is a Curacao Electronic Gaming License?

Curaçao E-Gaming is one of the oldest and most reputable providers of regulated electronic gaming services. Since 1996, Curacao E-Gaming has proudly served some of the most prominent electronic gaming operators and service providers.

The island has a unique status within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It offers EU regulatory advantages without being part of the EU. More importantly, without being subject to the high tax rates of Europe.

There are only four organizations that hold a “Master license”:

• Cyberluck Curaçao NV (Curacao eGaming NV, “CEG”) – 1668/JAZ;

• Gaming Curacao (Gaming NV) – 365/JAZ;
• e-Management NV (Curacao Interactive Licensing NV, “CIL”) – 5536/JAZ.

They act as franchises and are responsible for issuing and supervising sub-licenses.

New master licenses are not approved, the only real and widely used option is what is known in the industry as a “sublicense”. However, the correct term is “IP” (information provider).

The Curacao E-Gaming IP license covers all forms of electronic gaming, including games and services of skill, gambling, betting, lotteries and casinos.

2. to the organization.

Personal documents:

• a copy of a valid foreign passport;
• confirmation of the legality of the origin of funds (for shareholders, beneficiaries);
• certificate of criminal record;
• the original utility bill (not older than three months) – to confirm the address of residence;
• CV/resumé and letters of recommendation (from the bank, from the employer, etc.).

Company documentation:

• business plan, marketing, and financial plans;
• a copy of the contract with the software supplier;
• RNG certificate for software;
• a description of games or other activities to be carried out;
• a document confirming ownership of the domain;
• a list of countries where gambling activities will be carried out;
• audit reports on the company’s financial condition;
• AML policies.
