Visa to Ukraine
A visa to Ukraine is a permit issued by an authorized body of our state to a foreigner who wants to enter or transit through the territory of Ukraine. If you are interested in obtaining a visa, you can contact the lawyers of Prikhodko & Partners Law Firm.
Migration law is one of the key areas of jurisprudence in which we specialize. Therefore, our team provides consulting services and legal support in obtaining a visa.
What are the types of visas to Ukraine?
So, if we talk about the types of visas, they are as follows:
- Long-term visa type D. If you want to apply for a temporary or permanent residence permit in Ukraine, you need this type of visa.
- Short-term visa type C. It stipulates that a foreigner can legally stay in Ukraine for 90 days for 180 days (i.e. three months for six months). For example, such a permit is often issued to foreigners who come to Ukraine for tourism purposes. This visa is required for citizens of those countries with which Ukraine has not signed a visa-free agreement. If there is such an agreement, then a visa is not required.
- Transit visa type B. This permit is required when a person or cargo is supposed to transit through Ukrainian territory to a third country.
This is the list of visas that allow you to enter Ukraine. If you do not know which visa will be optimal in your particular case, the lawyers of Prikhodko & Partners Law Firm will advise you on this issue.
Where can I get a visa to Ukraine?
A visa to Ukraine is issued at the embassy or consulate of Ukraine in the country where the foreigner is staying. It can also be done at visa centers. If you are applying for an e-visa, it is issued online.
What documents do I need to apply for a visa to Ukraine?
Since there are different types of visas, as mentioned above, the specific package of documents depends on the type of visa you are going to apply for. When advising their clients, the lawyers of Prikhodko & Partners Law Firm advise them in detail on what documents they need to attach to their visa application in their particular case.
The main documents are:
- valid foreign passport of the foreigner;
- a photo in accordance with the requirements for them;
- a document confirming the existence of the grounds for obtaining a visa;
- medical insurance.
The above is a very approximate list of documents that are always relevant. However, the type of visa and the grounds for obtaining it in your particular case determine which documents are required for you.
It is also important to know that foreigners from many countries do not need a visa. If you have any doubts as to whether you need a visa or what documents you need to attach to your application, the migration law specialists at Prikhodko & Partners Law Firm can help you.
