Steps to register a business in Poland for foreigners

Choosing an organizational and legal form. The most popular ones are Sp. z o.o. (limited liability company) with a minimum capital of PLN 5,000 (about EUR 1,200) and JDG (individual entrepreneurship) for freelancers. Joint-stock companies are suitable for large projects. We advise on the optimal form depending on your investments and plans.
Obtaining the necessary documents. Foreigners need a PESEL (identification number), which is issued if you have an address in Poland. We help with renting a virtual office or a real address. If you are not a resident, registration is possible through a representative.
Registration in registers. For JDG – through the CEIDG (central register of entrepreneurs), which takes 1-2 days online. For Sp. z o.o. – through the S24 system (online) or KRS (court register) with a notarial deed. The term is from 1 day to several weeks. We prepare the charter, conduct notarization and submit applications.
Additional steps. Opening a bank account in a Polish bank (for example, PKO BP or mBank), registration with ZUS (social insurance) and the tax office. Licenses or permits are required for certain types of activities – we check and obtain them.
Investment aspect. If a business is created for investment, we conduct an audit of projects, check partners for reliability, prepare documents for raising funds. Company registration does not give automatic citizenship, but makes it easier to obtain a certificate.
