Cadastral number of the land plot

Land resources are one of the most important assets. Providing accurate and comprehensive information about each plot of land is an extremely important task. The cadastral number becomes a key indicator for the identification and management of land resources. It is important to consider several difficult points, for example, how to assign a cadastral number for old state documents, or how to correctly arrange the division of a land plot.

What is a cadastral number?

The cadastral number allows you to identify and track information about a specific land plot in the state register. It includes various plot characteristics, such as boundaries, area, location, land category, as well as owner data and other details that allow for the accuracy and availability of information on each land plot in the cadastral accounting system.

Old state acts: was there a cadastral number?

It is very important to understand that the history of the formats of state acts certifying rights to land plots in Ukraine has undergone significant changes over time. In particular, in the period from 1992 to 2001, acts of pink (red) color were used, which did not contain a cadastral number. Later, in 2001, the legislation introduced a new form of the act and the obligation to assign a cadastral number to land plots.

According to these changes, in the period from 2003 to 2009, state acts were issued in green color, and after 2009 – in blue color. In most cases, these state acts already contain a cadastral number, but it is important to note that the presence of this number in a state act does not always mean that the information about the land plot has already been entered into the State Land Cadastre.

In order to protect your rights to the land and ensure the possibility of full use of the land plot, it is necessary that it be assigned a cadastral number, and this information be entered in the DZK.

If you find that your land plot has not been assigned a cadastral number, or the existing number has not been entered into the DZK, you need to resolve this issue by assigning a cadastral number to your plot and then entering this information into the DZK. For more detailed information and professional assistance with this issue, we recommend contacting qualified lawyers and experts in the field of land rights and cadastral accounting.

Algorithm for assigning a cadastral number

  1. Departure of a qualified specialist who carries out a cadastral survey of a land plot. During the survey, the boundaries of the site, its area, and other important technical parameters are taken into account.
  2. Based on the data obtained from the cadastral survey, technical documentation is drawn up, in which the boundaries of the land plot are established in kind. A cadastral plan of the boundaries of the land plot is also being prepared, which includes a graphic representation of the plot and its characteristics.
  3. After preparation of technical documentation and cadastral plan of the land plot, this information is registered in the State Land Cadastre, where the plot is assigned a unique cadastral number.
  4. After registering a land plot and assigning a cadastral number, an extract is created in the State Land Cadastre, which contains all information about the plot, including its characteristics, boundaries, ownership rights and other important data.

Land division and assignment of new cadastral numbers

When the land plot is divided into shares or when the owner changes, it becomes necessary to assign new cadastral numbers. If you decide to divide a plot of land (for example, to sell or give a part to another person), do not forget to redo the cadastral numbers so that each separate plot has its own registration. This is important, because in the future various controversial issues may arise, and it is the presence of cadastral numbers that will help solve any problem. Our qualified lawyers and cadastral experts will provide you with all the necessary assistance and advice in this matter.
