Obtain a permanent residence permit in Bulgaria
A permanent residence permit in Bulgaria is a document that is the legal basis for a long-term stay in Bulgaria, and subsequently for obtaining citizenship.
Grounds for obtaining a permit (permit) for permanent residence
According to Article 25, the following foreigners have a permanent residence permit:
- they are of Bulgarian origin;
- To receive a GNP (residence permit) every year for 5 years based on the grounds available to you;
- Stay in Bulgaria for more than 30 months within 5 years (the main condition is that the person is not absent from the territory of Bulgaria for more than 30 months in 5 years).
- Persons who have invested more than 1,000,000 BGN in the country or have increased their investment by this amount by purchasing:
a) shares of Bulgarian companies traded on the Bulgarian regulated market;
b) debt obligations and treasury obligations and their derivatives, issued by the state or municipalities with a maturity of at least 6 months;
c) ownership of a separate part of the property of a Bulgarian company with state capital of at least 50 percent or a municipal share in the capital in accordance with the Law on Privatization and Post-Privatization Control;
d) holdings or shares owned by the state or municipalities in a Bulgarian company under the Law on Privatization and Post-Privatization Control;
e) Bulgarian intellectual property – an object of copyright or related rights, protected by a patent, inventions, utility models, trademarks, service marks or industrial designs;
f) rights under concession agreements on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria;
The cost of obtaining a permanent residence permit in Bulgaria depends on the volume of services that will be provided by our migration lawyers in Bulgaria.
Individuals who have received the status of PMP in Bulgaria are assigned a UDN (Uniform State Number) and are issued a plastic personal card. Family members (husband/wife and minor children) are also entitled to a PMP in Bulgaria. The PMP permit is granted for an unlimited period (the validity period of the foreign passport) and can be extended free of charge.
