The lease agreement for a land plot is the agreement under which the lessor (land plot owner or executive authorities or local self-government bodies) is obligated to transfer the land plot into the possession and use of the lessee for a fee for a certain period of time, and the lessee is obligated to use the land plot in accordance with the terms of the agreement and the requirements of the land legislation.

The lease agreement enters into legal force only after state registration in the Unified State Register of Rights to Real Estate and their encumbrances.

For state registration of land lease, the parties (lessee and / or lessor) shall apply to the state registrars designated in Article 10 of the Law of Ukraine “On state registration of rights and encumbrances,” namely: notary public, other state registrars (executive bodies of village, settlement and city councils, district, city district public administrations). 

For entry in the State Register of Rights to Immovable Property and Encumbrances there needs to be an agreement of lease of land plot and an act of acceptance-transfer of land plot.
