Documents that, in the opinion of the citizen, confirm his right to acquire the status of a single mother or a single father must also be attached to the application.

For example, the decision of the judicial authorities on the recognition of the child’s mother or father as missing or dead, the court decision on the deprivation of the parental rights of one of the parents, the death certificate of the second parent, a certificate on the stay of the other spouse in inpatient treatment and the impossibility to participate in upbringing and maintenance of a child, a court decision establishing the fact of independent upbringing and maintenance of a child by one of the parents, etc.

What benefits can a person who raises a child independently receive?

Citizens who raise a child on their own can receive the following benefits, namely:

• Financial assistance from the state. The amount of cash assistance is determined from the difference between 100% of the subsistence minimum established for the child according to age and the average total income of the person for the previous 6 months. Assistance is provided until the child reaches the age of majority18 years(23 years old, if she studies full-time at an institution of secondary, professional, or higher education);
• Annual additional paid vacation in the amount of 10 calendar days;
• Reduction of the amount of the total monthly taxable income, received from one employer in the form of wages, for the amount of tax social benefit, equal to 150% of the amount of the benefit (calculated for each child under the age of 18);
• Priority acquisition of residential premises, if persons need significant improvement of their living conditions;
• Guarantees of employment, prohibitions on dismissal and involvement in night, overtime, or weekend work, the right to work part-time, etc.
