Certificate from the Unified Register of Enterprises in respect of which bankruptcy proceedings have been initiated

What is a certificate from the Unified Register of Enterprises in respect of which bankruptcy proceedings have been initiated?

A certificate from the Unified Register is a document that confirms the presence or absence of bankruptcy status or open bankruptcy proceedings for a specific individual or legal entity. After you have been declared bankrupt, the relevant information is entered into the register, which anyone can find out in peacetime upon request on the website of the Ministry of Justice. However, due to martial law, access to the registry is currently restricted.

Why do you need a certificate from the unified register of enterprises?

If you plan to receive a grant for business development, participate in a tender, sign a contract with a national or international company, you cannot do without a certificate of bankruptcy status. As a rule, state bodies or companies that are your counterparties need to provide relevant information to confirm the absence of information about you as a natural or legal person in the Unified Bankruptcy Register. Requirements may also be set by the relevant body or enterprise during employment.

How to get help and how can we help?

Since the beginning of martial law in Ukraine, access to the register is partially limited, obtaining information is carried out by a specially formed request. The request is made according to the appropriate form, it specifies the necessary data about the individual or legal entity, after which it is sent in writing or electronically to the interregional department of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.

Our lawyers help with the formation and forwarding of requests from the lawyer on the day of the application, in order to receive information in the shortest possible time. To receive a quick response, we send requests in electronic format, and we guarantee that you will receive a response within 1 to 3 working days.

Is it possible to go through the bankruptcy procedure if the debt is less than 180,000 UAH?

Bankruptcy can be filed regardless of the amount of debt — there are no minimum limits set by law. However, if the amount of debt is less than UAH 180,000, it is usually more advisable to agree on debt restructuring, as bankruptcy may be economically unprofitable.
