The client turned to the legal company “Prykhodko and Partners” for help with a request to provide support in the process of registering a disability.

Svitlana (the client) sought advice from a family doctor at a medical institution in order to receive a referral to the medical-social-expert commission (MSEK) on form 088, but received a blunt refusal since the complaints she mentioned did not have clinical signs of disability.

The lawyer of medical practice analyzed the client’s situation in detail, evaluated the medical examinations/consulting opinions of doctors, circumstances and other factors that affect the success of obtaining the status of disabled person and concluded that there are grounds for receiving disability status.

At the consultation with the client, the lawyer explained the grounds for obtaining disability, the group of disabilities that diseases fall under, the algorithm for registering disability, explained the client’s rights, and also discussed possible nuances and reasons for their occurrence.

After that, the lawyer helped to collect and issue the documents, ensuring the completeness and reliability of the information provided.  Under the guidance of a lawyer, the medical examinations of form 088/0 were handed over to the medical advisory commission (MCA), which is formed at a medical institution and makes a decision on assigning or refusing to assign a disability to a person.

After agreeing on the results of the examination and signing the form by all members of the commission, the client received a referral to undergo the MSEK.  In turn, after receiving the documents from the LKK, the MSEK made a decision in favor of the client within 5 working days, thereby she was issued a certificate recognizing her as a person with a disability and provided with an individual rehabilitation program.
