Changes to Ukraine’s medical and social assessment system have created new opportunities for patients who, due to their health condition, are unable to attend the assessment in person. Expert teams for the assessment of a person’s daily functioning can now conduct assessments remotely using telemedicine. However, to take advantage of this option, a flawless medical evidence base is required.

The main task was not only to prepare the document package correctly, but also to lawfully and promptly organise the remote expert team assessment using telemedicine, while avoiding bureaucratic refusals.

Decision of the expert team: the client was officially granted Group III disability status (general disease).
