Case: Obtaining certificates of registration and impeccable reputation of companies from the USA

Problem and desired result: Clients needed to obtain registration and good standing certificates from the USA for the companies they work for to apply for a Digital Nomad Visa in Spain.
In January 2026, clients approached the “Prikhodko & Partners” law firm regarding the processing of a Digital Nomad Visa in Spain.
The clients worked remotely for companies registered in the USA; therefore, to complete the document package, it was necessary to obtain certificates of registration and good standing from the USA with apostilles.
The problem was that these were two separate companies registered in different states, and additionally, one of the companies was undergoing a merger, which somewhat complicated the procedure. Furthermore, the companies showed no desire to provide these documents to the clients.
Given the risks of residency permit refusal and loss of time if these documents were not provided, the lawyers at “Prikhodko & Partners” suggested that the client obtain these documents through their assistance.
Specifically, the following was done:
- A request was sent to obtain a certificate from the state of Nevada;
- A request was sent to obtain a certificate from the state of Delaware;
- Upon receiving the certificates, they were submitted for apostilles in the respective states.
After obtaining the ready certificates for both companies, they were then forwarded for sworn translations in Spain for further use in the visa application process.
As a result, the client received:
- Documents confirming the registration and good standing of the companies;
- A complete package for the subsequent processing of a Digital Nomad Visa in Spain;
