Case: They helped to issue a certificate confirming the child’s citizenship abroad
Our company “Prikhodko & Partners” was contacted by a client, a citizen of Ukraine, with a request to receive support in the process of confirming the child’s citizenship (since the child’s mother is a foreigner) through the Ukrainian consulate in the Republic of Poland in order to further obtain a Ukrainian citizen’s passport for the child to travel abroad.
The client has already repeatedly faced the problem related to the fact that the consulate repeatedly refused to accept documents verbally and in writing, since the child was born in Ukraine. They justified their refusal by the fact that the documents must be submitted to the migration service on the territory of Ukraine.
The client was offered advisory support in the correct preparation of documents and writing a request to the consulate of Ukraine with legal substantiation of the grounds for submitting documents to confirm the child’s citizenship.
Our lawyers analyzed the situation and the documents available to the client in detail. As a result of the analysis of the documents and the client’s situation, the lawyers of the practice of migration law prepared an appeal to the Consulate with justification of the grounds for accepting the documents from the client.
As a result of the written appeal, the consulate contacted the client within 10 days and invited him to submit documents.
Three weeks later, the client received feedback from the consulate that the certificate of registration of the child as a citizen of Ukraine was ready and he could receive it.
The client not only received a ready-made document in a short time, but also immediately submitted documents for the child’s passport to be a citizen of Ukraine for travel abroad.
