Case: A story of fighting for a mother and yourself
The law firm “Prikhodko and Partners” was approached by Oleg, a man exhausted by several months of struggling with circumstances that seemed to leave no chance for justice.
His mother was seriously ill and needed constant care. Oleg was with her every day — feeding her, caring for her, taking her to the doctors. But formally, for state institutions, this seemed to not exist.
Wherever he turned, he was refused.
The district state administration threw up its hands and did not register the application for the issuance of a care certificate, the doctors did not want to take responsibility and issue a LCC conclusion, and the bureaucratic requirements seemed insurmountable.
The situation was further complicated by the fact that Oleg was wanted. Because of an old, unresolved issue, he lived in constant fear — calls from the police, subpoenas, pressure. It seemed that the system had finally turned its back on him.
With his last hope, he turned to us. Lawyer Alla from the “Prikhodko and Partners” team helped in such a difficult situation.
We started with the most important thing:
- collected medical documentation and obtained a medical certificate from the Medical Examiner’s Office on the mother’s health;
- they drew up an act establishing the fact of care provision — a document in which they included the truth of his daily life;
- provided legal support to remove Oleg from the wanted list — a difficult but extremely important step for returning to normal life.
Now, after being removed from the wanted list, we have prepared and submitted documents for a deferral from the draft. The client is waiting for a decision – with hope, peace, and faith in justice.
This case is a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there is always a way. And we are ready to walk it together with our clients.
