Case: We received UAH 1 500 000 for the client under the “Varto Diyaty” program
On November 3, Serhii contacted us. Prior to this, he independently submitted an application for the grant program “Varto Diyaty” (Worth Acting) from the Ukrainian Veterans Foundation with the project ‘Design, Manufacture, and Installation of Various Types of Wooden Stairs’.
Grant amount – 1,500,000 UAH
After submitting the application, Serhii received feedback from experts regarding the project and the estimate.
Some of the wording did not meet the program requirements, financial calculations required clarification, and certain expenses were insufficiently justified.
Under such circumstances, there was a real risk of losing the opportunity to receive funding.
What was done
We analyzed the submitted materials and:
- brought the application structure into compliance with the program requirements;
- clarified and reformulated the project description;
- corrected the financial model;
- detailed the estimate with a clear justification for each expense item;
- prepared the client for the open presentation of the project before the commission.
The main focus was placed on the project’s logic, the economic feasibility of expenses, and compliance with evaluation criteria.
All work was completed within a tight deadline.
Result
On December 1, Serhii was included in the list of program winners.
The project received funding in the amount of 1,500,000 UAH.
The final evaluation result is 290 points out of 300 possible.
At the time of the case study publication, the project is in the implementation phase.
Conclusion
Even a strong business idea can lose the chance for funding due to formal errors or incorrect positioning.
The right preparation strategy, sound financial logic, and professional presentation are what turn an application from ‘promising’ to ‘winning’.
