This form requires a minimum authorized capital of 2 million Czech crowns, operates on the basis of a joint-stock form of ownership, provides for a mandatory supervisory board and management board, and also provides for the possibility of a public offering of shares.
- Self-employed person – sole proprietor
The status of an individual entrepreneur represents the simplest form of registration with personal liability of the entrepreneur, a limited list of activities, and minimal initial costs.

Veřejná obchodní společnost (general partnership) and komanditní společnost (limited partnership) represent less common forms for specific types of activities.
Step-by-step business registration process
Step 1: Name registration and verification in the Trade Register
- Checking the uniqueness of the name via the justice.cz portal
- Name reservation for 3 months
