Dismissal from military service

The issue of dismissal of servicemen from military service is regulated by Article 26 of the Law of Ukraine “On Military Duty and Military Service”.

It differs in particular:

dismissal from military service of military personnel who are conscripted during mobilization, for a special period, military service for the conscription of persons from among the reservists in a special period;
dismissal from military service of military personnel undergoing military service under a contract.
dismissal from military service of military personnel undergoing regular military service.

in peacetime;
during the special period (except for the periods from the moment of the announcement of mobilization – during the period of its implementation, determined by the decision of the President of Ukraine, and from the moment of the introduction of martial law – until the announcement of demobilization);
from the moment of the announcement of mobilization – during the period of its implementation, determined by the decision of the President of Ukraine, and from the moment of the introduction of martial law – until the announcement of demobilization.
