PROCEDURE FOR THE PAYMENT OF 15 MILLION UAH TO THE RELATIVES OF THE DEAD MILITARY

Unfortunately, in connection with the full-scale invasion of the Russian army into the territory of Ukraine, every day during the hostilities, servicemen who sincerely and devotedly defend our Motherland heroically give their lives.

And although the person cannot be returned, the state is trying with all its might to honor the memory of the dead and support their families. One such significant action is compensation for death in war. However, it is important to note that the procedure for obtaining such funds is not as easy, understandable and definitive as it might seem at once. Therefore, after receiving these documents, the interested person should contact the commander of the military unit to obtain:

extracts from the order to exclude the deceased from the list of personnel of the military unit;

a document that testifies to the causes and circumstances of the death of a military man;

extracts from the personal file on the composition of the family of a serviceman.

The next step in the above procedure is to write an application for the payment of a one-time allowance at the territorial recruitment and social support center. The above documents, as well as documents confirming the identity and relevant family ties, must be added to the application.

In turn, the territorial recruitment and social support center sends certified copies to the Department of Social Security of the Ministry of Defense, where the Special Commission decides on the appointment of compensation or on the refusal of payments.

If the decision is positive, it must be approved by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine. After that, funds for payment of compensation in the amount of 15 million hryvnias will be transferred to the account of the Command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and from there to the accounts of the family members of the deceased through the regional TCCs of the Joint Venture.
