Residence permit for investment in Turkey

Opening a business in the territory of the Republic of Turkey is the basis for obtaining a residence permit ( ikamet ).

Foreigners can also apply for citizenship by investment (the so-called “Golden Visa of Turkey”). This program was launched in 2016. It allows foreign investors to obtain a Turkish passport within three to six months. Given Turkey’s advantageous geographic location, the Turkish Citizenship by Investment program is quickly becoming one of the most popular in the world.

To participate in the program, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

• purchase of real estate worth at least USD 250,000.
• purchase of government bonds in the amount of at least 500,000 USD, these investments cannot be sold within 3 years.
• and job creation (at least 50).
• of at least 500,000 USD.
• at least 500,000 USD to a Turkish bank and storing them for at least 3 years.
• and investments in the amount of at least 500,000 USD in shares of a real estate investment fund or in shares of a venture investment fund for a period of at least 3 years,

and:

• You must not have a criminal record.
• You must commit to maintaining your investment for 3 years.
• The funds you use for investment must be obtained legally.
