A temporary residence permit gives the right to temporary residence in Ukraine for a period of 6 months to 3 years. The most common grounds for obtaining a temporary residence permit are: study in Ukraine, marriage with a citizen or citizen of Ukraine and employment. Here you also need to understand that, unlike a permanent residence permit, a temporary residence permit does not give the right to work without obtaining a work permit.

Temporary residence permits are issued to foreigners and stateless persons who have reached the age of 16.

Information about a child under the age of 16 and who arrived with his parents in Ukraine for temporary residence is indicated in the certificate of one of the parents.
A temporary residence permit is issued within fifteen working days from the date of receipt of an application for its registration or exchange of the type in connection with the expiration of the validity of the permit.
The temporary residence permit must be returned within ten days from the date of deregistration. Unsubmitted temporary residence permit is considered invalid.

The validity period of a temporary residence permit can be extended an unlimited number of times by exchanging a residence permit if there are grounds provided for by law.
