PERMISSION FOR EMPLOYMENT IN UKRAINE FOR A FOREIGNER OR PERSON WITHOUT CITIZENSHIP

One of the main areas of work of our company is the provision of migration services to foreigners. Numerous citizens of other countries come to Ukraine with the aim of running their own business, working in Ukrainian companies, or sent here for work by a certain foreign company.
My today's video message will be directed to the audience of those foreign citizens who wish to work in Ukraine.
In Ukraine, it is difficult to get the desired job for a Ukrainian who already has education, skills and knowledge of the state language, but it is even more difficult for foreign citizens in Ukraine. Especially those who do not speak Ukrainian or at least Russian. It is with such foreigners that our law company works, whose specialists professionally and efficiently provide services in obtaining a work permit for a foreigner or stateless person in Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as a work permit).
Citizens of other countries on the territory of Ukraine can only work if they have a work permit, which can be obtained at the employment center. There is no requirement to obtain a permit only for those foreigners who already live in Ukraine and have a permanent residence permit here.
Full instructions for obtaining such a document are regulated by the legislation of Ukraine, namely the Law of Ukraine "On Employment of the Population".
This law identifies the categories of persons who are required to obtain a work permit for foreigners in Ukraine, for example, hired employees, seconded employees, highly paid professionals.
Among these categories, the law defines the categories of foreigners in relation to whom special rules apply when applying for a work permit in Ukraine, for example, such as highly paid specialists or founders / beneficiaries of a legal entity.
The main documents for obtaining a work permit are:
- photo of a foreigner 3.5x4.5;
-notarized translation of the foreign passport of a foreigner;
- a completed application in the prescribed form and signed by the employer;
draft employment contract with a foreigner (must be certified by the employer);
power of attorney from the company to the person who represented the interests of the company in government agencies on the issue of obtaining a work permit for a certain foreigner.

Procedure and term for obtaining a work permit
After collecting everything you need, you need to apply to the employment center through the administrative services center in your administrative district. The decision on the issue of issuing a work permit to a foreigner or stateless person in Ukraine is made within 7 working days, plus a couple of days are allocated for the publication of the results. If everything went well and your application was approved, then in total after 7 working days you will receive your work permit. From the moment a positive decision is made public, it is necessary to pay a state fee for issuing a permit. And here you need to be careful, since the size of receipts for issuing a work permit is tied to the size of the minimum subsistence level for able-bodied persons as of January 1 of the current year, which means that the size of receipts in 2020 is:
For registration of a work permit for a period of up to 1 year to 3 years is 12 612, 00 UAH.
For registration of a work permit for a period of 6 months to 1 year, the cost is 8 408, 00 UAH
