THE MINIMUM WAGE HAS BEEN INCREASING SINCE OCTOBER 1! MILITARY REGISTRATION OF WOMEN, EUV SEPTEMBER AND ABOUT PART-TIME WORK

Reading time: 3 min.

Despite the state of war in Ukraine, the economy must work. One of the factors of stabilization of the economic situation is the level of income of the population. It is clear that the higher the salary, the greater the purchasing power of citizens. To do this, you need to understand that even during the war, regulatory acts are adopted, which are an important component for the life of the country. To do this, you need to understand what innovations await us this fall.

Minimum wage

From October 1, 2022, the minimum wage will increase and will be UAH 6,700 instead of UAH 6,500. The increase in the minimum wage will affect the calculation of maternity leave, sick leave, payment of the single social contribution and other payments, the amount of which depends on the amount of the minimum wage.

Military registration of women

There have been many speculations and myths surrounding this topic. Starting last year, everyone was scared by the military registration of women of certain professions, and with the beginning of the war - their mobilization in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. registration of women for a year, i.e. until October 1, 2023. This means that on October 1, 2022, women do not need to register for military service.

EUS September

The single social contribution for September 2022 must be calculated and paid taking into account the Order of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine No. 216 dated July 28, 2022. This Order entered into force on September 2, 2022. According to the specified order, the changes relate to the calculation and payment of EUV by payers who are mobilized or undergoing military service on other grounds. For such payers, the submitted application form has been updated. The changes also affected EUS payers of the Diya.City resident in terms of determining the calculation base. After all, previously there was no clear definition regarding the payment or non-payment of EUS by residents of Diya.City in the Instructions on the procedure for charging and paying EUS. Now such a norm is provided and it must be taken into account when paying the EUV for September.

Part-time work

There are also issues related to the payment of ESSV when working part-time or during the working week. Despite the fact that a person works part-time, social security for him must be paid in the minimum amount established. The minimum amount of social security as of September 2022 is UAH 1,430.00 (22% of the minimum wage). That is, the employer can pay the employee a salary in the amount actually up to the time worked, but the SSC must pay no less than the minimum.

So, as can be seen from the above, changes in regulatory documents occur constantly, and in order not to miss important points, you need to track them. Or use expert advice and keep your finger on the pulse of legislative innovations and changes.
