Prikhodko AA ACCEPTS PARTICIPATION IN DISCUSSION OF REFORMING ELECTION LAW OF UKRAINE

On November 28, 2017, at the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, on the basis of the Department of Constitutional Law, a cross-departmental seminar was held at which the draft model program of the "Election Law" course for the students of the master's degree in higher education in the branch 081 "Law" was discussed.

This event was held jointly with the All-Ukrainian NGO "Institute for Electoral Law" with the support of the Council of Europe within the framework of the Action Plan for Ukraine for 2015-2017 and the draft Council of Europe "Reform of the Electoral Practice in Ukraine".

The purpose of the event was to discuss and unify the existing methodologies of electoral law and the development of the doctrine of electoral law in Ukraine, taking into account European electoral standards and good practices.

The seminar was attended by representatives of science, including scientists from the Kiev National University named after Boris Grinchenko, National Aviation University, National University "Odessa Law Academy", Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, American experts Professor Webber and Professor Anderson Atmosfera, as well as lawyers and lawyers practice.

In the discussion took part, in particular:
- the co-author of the project Marceliak A.V. Head. Chair of Constitutional Law of Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko professor;
- the co-author of the project Klyuchkovsky Yu.B. Associate Professor, People's Deputy of Ukraine;
- co-author of the project Stetsyuk P.B. associate professor, judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine.

Managing partner "PRIKHODKO & PARTNERS" Prikhodko Andriy Anatolyevich focused on practical aspects of the work of election commissions, the regulation of the activities of political parties, the mechanism of ensuring constitutional rights of citizens, etc. Particular attention was paid to the elements of judicial protection of violated constitutional rights of subjects of electoral law and the legal mechanism of bringing to constitutional and other legal responsibility for violation of the law.
