NAAU takes a course on digital transformations

At the National Association of Lawyers of Ukraine, a permanent collegial advisory body - the Committee on Digitization of the Bar - was established. Andrii Prykhodko, lawyer, doctor of legal sciences, has been appointed as its manager.

The relevant order No. 46 dated 06.03.2024 was signed by the head of NAAU, RAU Lidia Izovitova.

The newly created committee will work in two directions - digitalization of the self-government bodies of lawyers and promotion of the general digitalization of the legal profession. First, it is planned to implement solutions regarding the electronic document management system, membership management, communication and project activities. Second, the committee will focus on monitoring, analyzing and promoting digital tools for lawyers.

The tasks of the Committee are defined as:

• optimization of databases and management systems, in particular for accounting and document management;
• integration of services with ERAU;
• monitoring and analysis of digital tools;
• development and support of the online register of digital services for lawyers;
• creation of a system of ratings and reviews of digital resources;
• conducting forums and conferences;
• development and implementation of digital solutions for the automation of NAAU processes;
• organization of digital literacy training programs for lawyers;
• cooperation with IT companies and developers to create specialized solutions for lawyers;
• analysis of the possibilities of introducing artificial intelligence and other new technologies in advocacy;
• integration of the community of lawyers into well-known information technology platforms.

Digital transformations have become the norm for most industries. We are already on the threshold of technological changes in the legal profession, and the committee will make every effort to use the digital tools available today with maximum benefit to the profession. - noted A. Prikhodko
