ANDRIJ PRIKHODKO SPEAKS AT THE FIRST MEETING OF THE COMMISSION OF THE STATE TAX SERVICE OF UKRAINE

The agenda included questions about the composition of the working group for assessing corruption risks in the activities of the State Tax Service of Ukraine and the organization of the activities of the working group for assessing corruption risks in the activities of the State Tax Service of Ukraine

The head of the commission welcomed those present at the meeting of the working group and informed about the beginning of its work, in accordance with the Methodology of managing corruption risks, approved by the order of the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption dated 12.28.2021 No. 830/21, registered in the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on 17.02.2022 under No. 219 /37555 (hereinafter Methodology). He noted the administrative documents of the DPS regarding the assessment of corruption risks, the formation of a working group and the approval of its provisions.

He noted that in order to organize the work of the working group, there is a need to approve a plan for assessing corruption risks and preparing an anti-corruption program, the form of which is defined in the Methodology. He offered the members of the group to prepare proposals for the project of the specified plan within the competence of the structural subdivisions of the DPS no later than 09/16/2022.

At the meeting, among others, Andriy Prykhodko spoke, who, as a representative of the public, noted the facilitation of the work of the working group, taking into account his experience of cooperation with supervisory bodies.

«I, as a doctor of legal sciences in the field of corruption prevention, as well as a practicing lawyer in tax matters, investigation of economic crimes, having significant experience in supporting both criminal cases and tax audits, as well as litigation in which the tax authorities are parties, I am clearly aware of the importance of the work of this commission and I am confident that with joint efforts we will be able to overcome corruption and develop effective mechanisms to prevent corruption, so that the tax system in Ukraine becomes transparent both for business and for the purpose of filling the state budget»
