Which women need to update their data in the TCC?

Since May 18, 2024, Ukraine has updated its mobilization legislation, according to which all categories of men liable for military service have to update their personal data within 2 months. However, this requirement of the law applies not only to men liable for military service, but also to certain categories of women. This is the reason for the relevance of this topic. Therefore, in this informational article, we will answer the question of which women need to update their data in the TCC and the JV in connection with changes to the mobilization legislation.

What categories of women are liable for military service?

First of all, it should be noted that citizens liable for military service are persons subject to mandatory military registration in accordance with current Ukrainian legislation. The analysis of the Law of Ukraine “On Military Duty and Military Service” shows that women who are fit for military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine due to their current state of health and age, who have graduated from vocational, professional higher education institutions and received a medical or pharmaceutical specialty are subject to mandatory military registration. In addition, even if such women do not work in the relevant specialties, they are still subject to mandatory military registration.

If women have an education that is directly related to their respective military specialty, they can register for military service only at their own request. This list of specialties is defined by the Order of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine №313 of 11.10.2021 (for example, the names of related specialties are state security, avionics, chemistry and chemical technologies, etc.)

Which women need to update their data in the TCC and JV?

Since women who have received medical and pharmaceutical education are liable for military service and are subject to military registration, they are the ones who need to report to the TCC and JV to update their personal data. Medical and pharmaceutical education should include the following list of specialties, namely

1. physical recovery (rehabilitation) and therapy of citizens
2. public health;
3. psychological and medical rehabilitation of citizens;
4. pharmacy, including industrial pharmacy;
5. pharmacology and toxicology;
6. pathology;
7. epidemiology and physiology;
8. medicine;
9. biotechnology, including bioengineering;
10. nursing;
11. expertise, medical diagnostics, sanitation, etc.

What are the liabilities if the data is not updated?

Women liable for military service are subject to the same administrative liability during martial law in the country as men liable for military service for failure to update their personal data in a timely manner, namely, fines in the amount of UAH 17,000 to UAH 25,500.
