Ukrainian visa-free
After the long-awaited receipt of a visa-free regime with EU countries, Ukraine confidently rises in the ranking of countries with the most trouble-free passports in the field of visa issuance.
The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Pavel Klimkin, stressed that Ukraine should introduce a visa-free regime with those countries in which Ukrainians are interested.
Klimkin said that Ukraine plans to negotiate a visa-free regime with the countries of Latin America and Asia
On January 8, Pavel Klimkin, head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, said in an interview with the TV channel “1 + 1” that in the coming years Ukraine will introduce a visa-free regime with approximately 20 more countries.
“There will be no visa. There are Latin America, and Asia. We’ll actually be there in two years, 20 countries, 20+. There will be two years later, because there are such technological issues - Latin America and Asia,” said Klimkin.
He stressed that “visa-free” should be negotiated with those countries in which Ukrainians are interested.
«And we do not need a visa, with whom we can? Of course, we can now sign 30 free- visas with Africa. We need to do what Ukrainians need, not what we can hang up and say: here are five more countries», he added.
According to the president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, Ukraine now has a visa-free regime with more than 100 countries of the world.
Ukrainian passport is the 41st in the world ranking compiled by consulting company Henley & Partners.
