TEMPORARY RESIDENCE PERMIT IN UKRAINE BASED ON EMPLOYMENT IN UKRAINE: BASIC CONDITIONS - grazhdanstvo osnovaniya priobreteniya Many foreign citizens and stateless persons are interested in the possibility of obtaining a temporary residence permit in Ukraine on the basis of employment (temporary residence permit), as this will give them the right not only to freely live in Ukraine for the duration of the residence permit (one year, two years or three years), but also provides an opportunity to work and be implemented on the spot.

 According to the legislation, in order to obtain a temporary residence permit in Ukraine on the basis of employment, it is necessary to meet the following criteria:

  •  Category: a foreign citizen or a person without citizenship should act as a founder / co-founder or as a beneficial controller, the share of which should be at least 100 000 Є;
     
  • Category: foreigner or stateless person arrived in Ukraine with the purpose of working for an employer company that is ready to apply for a foreigner or stateless person to work and pay taxes stipulated by the legislation of Ukraine for him;

 Family members of a foreigner working in Ukraine are given the right to obtain a temporary residence permit on the basis of reunification of seven with such a foreigner or stateless person.

 Procedure

 If a foreign citizen or a person without citizenship belongs to the first category, then he needs to:

  • prepare documents that testify to the fact that a foreigner or stateless person is a founder / cofounder or beneficiary controller, the share of which is not less than 100 000 Є;
  • get a D visa if the “native” country whose citizenship a person has is in visa regime with Ukraine;
  • arriving in Ukraine, provide all the necessary documents for obtaining a temporary residence permit.

 After 15 working days, the foreigner will already receive a temporary residence permit for the period for which he was issued a work permit. Within 30 days from the date of obtaining a residence permit, it is necessary to register your place of residence in Ukraine.

 If a foreigner belongs to the second category and has “native” citizenship with a visa regime with Ukraine, then he needs to:

  • apply for a work permit;
  • get a visa (based on employment);
  • arriving in Ukraine, provide all the necessary documents for obtaining a temporary residence permit.

 After 15 working days, the foreigner will already receive his visa for the period for which he was issued a work permit. Within 30 days from the date of receipt of the temporary residence permit, you must register your place of residence in Ukraine.
