What legal acts regulate this issue?

It is worth noting that the salary according to the military rank is one of the three types of basic monthly support of military personnel. Also, these types of Financial security include official salary and seniority allowance. As for the procedure for accrual and payment of this salary, this issue is regulated in detail by two bylaws. They are:

• Resolution of the CMU dated August 30, 2017 № 704;
• Order of the Ministry of Defense of June 7, 2018 № 260 (the document is entitled "On approval of the Procedure for payment of financial support to servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and some other persons".

It is important to understand that the salary of a military serviceman depends not only on the salary of the military rank, but also on other basic and additional types of financial support. What else is worth knowing about the size of the salary?

The specifics of the calculation of such salaries are specified in detail in paragraph 4 of Resolution № 704. If we talk briefly about the mechanism itself, the calculation is based on the amount of 1,762 hryvnias multiplied by a certain tariff coefficient. As for the coefficients for specific military ranks, you can find out about them from Appendices 1 and 12-14 of the already mentioned Government Resolution.
