Retirement of combatants

Article 5 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Status of War Veterans, Guarantees of Their Social Protection" defines which people are participants in hostilities. We are talking about those who took part in combat missions related to the defense of the Motherland. Under what conditions is a pension granted to participants in hostilities?

This issue is regulated by Clause 4 of Part 1 of Art. 115 of the Law of Ukraine "On mandatory state pension insurance". This legal norm refers to a certain age and length of service, which is different for men and women. Yes, for men it is 55 years of age and 25 years of experience. As for women, here these indicators are more loyal, namely, the age of 50 years and experience of 20 years or more.

On the basis of which documents the pension of combatants is assigned?

• participant in hostilities certificate;
• a certificate indicating the period of participation in hostilities or ATO/OOS.
