Partial disability (in percent)

If the degree of disability is established in percent, without assigning disability, the benefit is calculated according to the formula:

Benefit amount = Degree of disability (%)× 70 × Subsistence minimum for able-bodied persons

As of January 1, 2026, the subsistence minimum for able-bodied persons is UAH 3,209.

Example: for 50% disability: 50%×70×3209=112314.5 UAH50\% \times 70 \times 3,209 = 112314.5 \text{ UAH}50%×70×3209=112314.5 UAH

This approach allows disabled people to receive a payment even in case of partial disability, which reflects the real impact of the injury on their daily life.

Disability group established

If the VLK has determined a disability group, the amount of a lump sum benefit increases significantly and depends on the causal connection:

• Disability related to the defense of the Motherland or the performance of military service duties. For group 1 disability, the payment is 400 times the subsistence minimum, i.e. 1,283,600 UAH for 2026.
• Disability related to military service. For group 1 disability, 120 times the subsistence minimum is established, which is 385,360 UAH.

Thus, the difference in the amount of the benefit is determined not only by the disability group, but also by the circumstances under which the injury was received.

Legal aspects of receiving benefits

To receive a payment, you must submit the following documents:

1. Conclusion of the Military Medical Commission (MMC) on the established disability or degree of disability.
2. Passport and identification code.
3. Documents confirming the causal connection of the injury with military service (certificates, acts, orders).
4. Application for a one-time cash benefit.
