NEW CONDITIONS FOR PAYMENT OF MONEY TO THE MILITARY

Financial provision of the military is one of the motivational components for the successful execution of combat tasks. It is clear that the higher the provision and timely payment of funds for the military, the greater their motivation. Since the beginning of the war, a regulatory act has been adopted that guarantees financial support for military personnel. This document provides both the payment of additional cash support and payment for the time of stay in the zone of active hostilities. But the war continues, and therefore the approaches to the payment of money for the military are changing.

Amount of payments

Direct participation in hostilities - one hundred thousand hryvnias.
For persons who do not participate in hostilities - thirty thousand hryvnias.
Thus, on July 7, 2022, Resolution № 168 of the CMU changed the procedure for paying additional remuneration.

New changes

In accordance with the mentioned Decree, the additional remuneration will be paid in a proportional amount depending on the area of service and the number of days that the serviceman performed the relevant tasks.

Who will be affected by the changes?

• National Guard;
• National Police;
• Employees of the State Emergency Service;
• State border service.

At the same time, it is worth noting that the changes do not apply to servicemen of the Armed Forces.

Term service

Additional remuneration is also provided for conscripted servicemen, regardless of the length of time they have been in conscripted service. For example, both conscripts who have served for several months and conscripts who have been in service for a year or more have the right to financial support.

Injury or other circumstances

If a serviceman is wounded or captured while on duty, additional compensation is also paid in full for the entire time of treatment or captivity.

Grounds for receiving payment

The main basis for the payment of financial support is the order of the unit commander. To do this, you need to be enrolled in a certain military unit in accordance with the order.

Features

There are cases when servicemen receive payments of monetary support in a smaller amount. One of the reasons may be the commission of a disciplinary offense while on duty (for example, the state of alcohol intoxication). In such a case, by order of the commander, disciplinary action may be applied and, as a consequence, payment of a smaller amount of monetary support.
