National Association of Advocates of Ukraine published a report on violation of the rights of lawyers and guarantees of advocacy in Ukraine

This report on the violation of the rights of attorneys and attorneys guarantees in Ukraine is already the second supplement to the publication and contains an analysis of violations from 2013 to 2018.

The report is published in two languages ​​- in Ukrainian and in English. Also, the report will be sent to all the international partners of NAAU.

In the form of an infographic, the report contains information on the number and types of crimes against lawyers, the number of criminal proceedings instituted and the state of their investigation. Data are also represented by years and displayed in dynamics. The most important data of the report that were given the most attention are: assassinations and assassination of lawyers, prosecution of lawyers, physical abuse of lawyers, threats to lawyers, the destruction of lawyers 'property, searches at lawyers' premises, law enforcement agencies for secret investigations, questioning attorneys as witnesses in cases where lawyers are advocates, interference with the legal position of an attorney. In general, the report contains the most urgent issues that arise in everyday life of the lawyer's self-government and with which the advocate often encounters the realities of today.

A separate section of the report provides an overview of international and national standards of professional rights, including the practice of the European Court of Human Rights.

The report also contains and describes individual cases of violations of the rights of lawyers throughout Ukraine. The report's conclusions provide information on the activity of NAAU and the profile committee in the process of restoring professional rights.
