How to transfer to another military unit during the war?

Service in the Armed Forces or other armed formations is not an easy task. In practice, there are situations where it is not possible to continue service in one or another unit, and the question arises about the possibility of transfer to another military unit. But often military personnel are faced with the fact that they cannot exercise this right for a number of objective reasons.

Possible grounds for transfer

• Health status. For example, if a serviceman was wounded during hostilities, then it is clear that he cannot continue his service in the unit that carries out service in forward positions. Or the state of health has deteriorated to such an extent that it does not allow him to continue serving in that position in the army, and there are no other vacant positions, then such a serviceman can be transferred.
• Family reasons. If a serviceman has three or more minor children or parents with disabilities, he has the right to serve at his place of residence. That is, if such a serviceman was mobilized to another unit, he may be transferred to another military unit at his place of residence. Such family circumstances can also include raising a child independently or having a child with a disability.
• A military serviceman's own desire.
• Service necessity and other organizational measures.

Where to start?

• Get a relationship. Relation from a military unit is a document on the basis of which a serviceman can be transferred from one unit to another. It must be taken exactly in the part to which the serviceman wishes to be transferred. In other words, this is the main document that allows the transfer to be carried out. This is necessary in order for the unit in which the serviceman serves to understand that there is a place for him in another unit to which he wishes to be transferred.
• Submit a report to the commander. In the report, it is necessary to indicate the reason for the transfer, as well as add a relation to it.
• Obtain consent for transfer and an order for dismissal from the specified military unit.

Is it possible to transfer to another unit during the war?

So. The legislation does not contain any restrictions on transfer during martial law, if there are all the necessary grounds for it.

In practice, there may be situations where the commanders do not approve the transfer for a number of reasons, or in some cases without reason. Another problem of translation can be that it is problematic to get a relationship, because in many parts there may not be free places.
