HOW TO ACT WHEN SERVING A SUMMONS ON THE STREET?

Reading time: 4 min.

It's no secret that any man, anywhere, can receive a summons. The street is no exception to this. But, unfortunately, not everyone knows how to behave when meeting with representatives of procurement and social support centers. Of course, it is not the best option to run away from representatives of the Military Commissariat or to take other actions (shouting, filming, etc.). First, you need to understand the regulatory and legal framework for serving summonses, as well as know and be able to use your rights.

Place of delivery

The legislation does not prohibit serving summons on the street. Therefore, it is inappropriate to shout that employees of military commissions do not have the right to do this.

Who can deliver?

Not every person in military uniform is a representative of the Military Committee and has the right to be served with a summons. Upon delivery of the summons, the employee of the picking center shall introduce himself and, if necessary, present the relevant certificate. Its data can be recorded.

Details of the summons

The summons must be filled out with all the necessary details, signed by the military commissar and with a seal.

Delivery procedure

Before serving the summons, the military commissariat employees must find out the identity. For example, if a man is over 60 years old, he is not conscripted and there is no need to hand him a summons on the street. If the person has not been identified, then it is clear that the summons cannot be issued because there is no data. And it is impossible to issue a summons without establishing personal data. When receiving a summons, a citizen is obliged to sign the receipt indicating the date of receipt.

Refusal

It is also possible to refuse to receive a summons, but it is worth remembering that in this case the act is drawn up in the presence of witnesses and in the future it can be considered as evasion of military service.

Delivery of the summons outside the place of registration

If, for example, a person temporarily went to another city or region and there on the street met employees of the recruitment and social support center, you can immediately inform them that you are registered at another recruitment center and, if possible, show a certificate of the place of registration or military ID. If, after all, you received a summons on the street in another place, you can come to the recruitment and territorial support center and provide confirming documents about being on military registration in another place.

So, there is no need to be afraid of getting a summons on the street. You need to know and understand that in case of an unclear situation, you can always use the help and advice of specialists. Of course, it is better to have contacts of such specialists, because if necessary, you can get a hint on how to act in a particular situation, even over the phone.

It is worth remembering that knowledge of one's rights and the ability to protect them will help to avoid illegal actions on the part of employees of the procurement and social support centers when serving a summons on the street.
