Beating a person is a crime that belongs to the category of crimes against human health and life. This is due to the fact that most often such encroachments cannot be compensated in monetary terms. Bodily injuries under Article 122 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine are of medium severity

Among the main signs of this group of physical injuries: a long-term health disorder of the victim; persistent and long-term loss of working capacity (up to 30%). This must be confirmed by the results of a forensic medical examination.

  1. Limitation of will.
  2. Corrective works.
  3. Imprisonment for up to 3 years.

Bodily injuries under Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine are particularly serious

The category of severe bodily injuries includes injuries that pose an immediate danger to the victim's life. Important: prevention of death is not considered a mitigating circumstance. The only important factor is the existence of a causal relationship between bodily injuries and an immediate threat to life. Among the examples of severe bodily injuries: disfigurement of the face, significant injuries to the cranial cavity and head, injuries to the digestive tract, etc.

Responsibility:

  1. Imprisonment for up to 8 years.
  2. Deprivation of liberty for a term of up to 10 years - causing bodily harm that provoked the victim's death.
