Grant program from Seeds of Bravery (UASEEDs)

Grants during martial law in Ukraine do not lose their popularity, because every future business owner is looking for additional investments to create their enterprise.

And so in this article, we will talk about one of the grant programs from Seeds of Bravery (UASEEDs).

What is the purpose of the grant program?

The main goal of the grant program is to promote the recovery of Ukraine's economy and its gradual integration into the European innovation ecosystem. In addition, the program is designed to increase the development potential of technology startups and small and medium-sized enterprises that offer innovative solutions, services, and products.

Financing of the grant program takes place at the expense of EU funds.

In general, funds are planned to be allocated to the following 5 areas:

• Business and innovative services- grants in this direction will be aimed at improving the business models of already existing companies, implementing their scaling plans and general strategies for increasing profits. The amount of grants is up to EUR 10,000;
• Innovative entrepreneurship- grants in this direction will be directed to business support and the creation of firms that must be managed by women. The amount of grants is up to 25,000 EUR;
• Incubators of deep technologies- grants in this direction will be directed to user testing or validation of prototypes and other key innovative tasks. The amount of grants is up to 25,000 EUR;
• Reconstruction of Ukraine- grants in this direction will be directed primarily to products and services in the field of innovation with the aim of rapid reconstruction of post-war Ukraine. The amount of grants is up to EUR 25,000;
• Scaling and acceleration in the field of deep technologies- grants in this direction will be aimed at scaling prototypes that have successfully passed the pilot launch and expanding the market reach of companies. The amount of grants is up to EUR 50,000;

Each relevant track combines both financial and non-financial assistance, through the provision of mentoring support, training services, etc.

What are the requirements for potential applicants (companies)?

• They must be registered on the territory of Ukraine or

be relocated to one of the EU member states or Horizon Europe-associated countries after February 24, 2022;

• A legal entity may also be registered in one of the EU member states, territories (OCTs), or associated countries of Horizon Europe after February 24, 2022;
• The presence of at least one founder or co-founder who has Ukrainian citizenship and works full-time in the company.

Importantly! One of the mandatory conditions for funding the applicant is that grant funds must be used exclusively for civilian enterprise development programs and not for military purposes.

How to participate in the grant program?

To participate in the grant program, you need to register and become a user of the Funding Box OnePass platform. After registration, complete the short online application form for Seeds of Bravery (UASEEDs). The deadline for submitting applications is February 20, 2024.
