Grant program for veterans and their family members

The government in Ukraine is actively expanding its project called YeRobota and announcing the launch of new grant programs aimed at supporting veterans who want to start entrepreneurship or develop their own businesses after returning to peaceful civilian life.

Thanks to these programs, servicemen and their family members can receive financial assistance ranging from 50,000 hryvnias to 1 million hryvnias.

An important condition for receiving such a grant is the obligation to create new jobs that will contribute to the development of the economy.

Who can get it?

• The target audience is military personnel who took part in hostilities, or persons with disabilities acquired during the war;
• Relatives, namely wives, and husbands, of veterans or persons with disabilities;
• Regardless of whether you are an experienced businessman or just planning to create a business, you can count on receiving this grant.

How much can you get?

• 50,000 - 250,000 hryvnias - this amount of the grant is available to servicemen from the UBD and persons with disabilities as a result of the war. Obligation to officially employ one person;
• 250,000 - 500,000 hryvnias — this amount of the grant is available to wives or husbands of veterans. The participant must participate with his own funds at least 30% of the project cost. Obligation to officially employ two people;
• up to 1 million hryvnias — available to veterans who have the status of an individual entrepreneur during the last three years. The program also covers 70% of the project cost . Obligation to officially employ 4 people, 2 of whom must have UBD certificates.

The grant is paid in installments not exceeding 250,000 hryvnias.

What can you spend on?

• Purchase of furniture, equipment and vehicles for commercial use (100% of grant funds can be used);
• Purchase of software licenses (up to 50%);
• Purchase of goods and services, animals, seedlings, raw materials and materials necessary for the implementation of the business plan. (up to 70%);
• Offline and online marketing (up to 10%);
• Payment of rent for commercial premises (up to 25%);
• Equipment rental payment (up to 30%);
• purchase of a franchise.

Who can not get it?

• Persons who plan to conduct activities on temporarily occupied territories or on the territory of aggressor countries ( Russia and Belarus);
• Persons subject to sanctions;
• Legal entities against whom bankruptcy proceedings have been opened;
• Non-state or investment pension funds, Insurance or credit organizations, Pawn shops, and securities market participants
• Currency exchangers, the business of production or manufacture of alcohol, tobacco products, or weapons;
• Individuals or legal entities brought to criminal liability due to corruption;
• The presence of debt to the state;
• Production or trade of pesticides/herbicides is subject to international phase-outs or bans;
• Owners of medical institutions and pharmacies.
