Grant for organizations supporting young light industry entrepreneurs

Within the framework of the project "Ukrainian National Identity through Youth" (UNITY), a new grant competition for qualified organizations to provide technical support has been launched to young Ukrainian light industry entrepreneurs.

What areas are subject to financing under the grant program?

Within the framework of the grant program, it is planned to provide funding for the following two areas, namely:

• School of startups- under this direction, it is planned to finance young people aged 18 to 25 from small communities located throughout Ukraine who want to create their own enterprises in the field of light industry. Funding will be implemented through startup schools. These schools should provide grantees with the relevant skills and connections necessary to start their light industry businesses;
• Coaching support -in this direction, it is planned to provide constant support to young enterprises through the provision of advice in the field of business start-ups, taking into account the best global practices. Also, 5 young entrepreneurs participating in the grant program will be able to receive individual financing in the amount of USD 2,000 for opening their own business.

Who can apply?

Potential participants of the grant program are Ukrainian:

• non-profit organizations;
• universities;
• charitable and private foundations;
• organizations and enterprises owned by individuals with private property rights.

In addition, grant funding will be provided only to those applicants who can meet the following criteria, namely:

• to be legally registered organizations by current Ukrainian legislation;
• set clear goals for the use of grant funds and wish to achieve them in practice;
• have an excellent reputation before state authorities (tax, customs service, etc.), i.e. have no debt;
• demonstrate effective management of the organization in the field of internal recruitment and fixed expenses;
• keep financial statements of all expenses in the organization;
• to be able to involve other organizations for cooperation on the project;
• when applying for a grant, participants are ready to sign other accompanying documents to receive funding (certificates, assurances, etc.).

What is the application deadline?

The final application deadline is March 29, 2024.

What amount can be received?

Within the framework of the grant program, it is planned to provide funding from 50,000 to 70,000 USD to one grantee.
