FORMATION OF BIOMETRIC CERTIFICATES

Acceptance of documents from foreigners will start in Kyiv on January 14, 2020. This expansion of the CNAP service range was made possible through close cooperation with the Migration Service.

It is with the assistance of the LCA that the individual administrative centers of the capital will soon be provided with the appropriate explanatory and methodological materials necessary for issuing and issuing biometric certificates for temporary residence to foreigners. In addition, CNAP administrators who will receive documents from foreigners will be properly trained and familiarized with the procedure of issuing certificates in accordance with the requirements of the legislation.

It should be noted that during the registration of biometric temporary residence permits for foreigners, the Migration Service and CNAP administrators will cooperate in the format of front-backkoff, as well as for the registration of biometric documents for Ukrainian citizens (ID card and foreign passport). This means that at the Administrative Services Center foreigners will be able to apply for a temporary residence permit and receive a ready-made document, and all necessary checks will be carried out as before by the Migration Service.

In the future, the number of CNAPs that will issue biometric documents for foreigners is planned to increase, not only in Kyiv but also in other regions of Ukraine.

It should be reminded that foreigners residing in Kyiv and Kyiv region can now apply for biometric certificates for temporary and permanent residence in Ukraine in one of the three divisions of the Migration Service or in one of the three Passport Services.
