• Traditional type. It is characterized by the fact that the surrogate mother provides her cell for fertilization, and thus bears a child for an individual citizen or married couple. Usually, if this traditional type is used in practice, the woman becomes pregnant by using the method of intrauterine insemination (IUI) using the ejaculation of the potential father.

It is worth noting that in Ukraine only gestational type of surrogate motherhood. This is explained by the fact that during traditional surrogacy, complex problems of a legal, psychological, or emotional nature may arise (for example, the surrogate mother does not want to give the child to the citizens of Grodno) since the surrogate mother gives her egg, and therefore she is technically the biological mother of the child.
