Documents for obtaining a military ticket

In May 2024, changes to the mobilization legislation came into effect, requiring men aged 18 to 60 to carry military registration documents at all times and provide them at the request of the TCC and JV employees or the National Police.

What is meant by a military ticket in Ukraine?

A military ticket is a paper document that certifies a person liable for military service (serviceman, reservist) and determines his or her affiliation with the country's military service. Thus, a military ticket may contain information on the level of fitness for military service (e.g., fit or unfit), military rank and category of military specialty, and much more.

How to get a military ticket in Ukraine?

The current Ukrainian legislation states that the bodies authorized to issue military cards in Ukraine are district or city TCCs and JVs (formerly military enlistment offices). Therefore, in order to obtain a military ticket, you should apply to the TCC and JV at the place of residence with the following package of documents:

1. a written application for registration (if the person is not registered), an application for a military ticket;
2. a copy of the passport of a citizen of Ukraine;
3. copy of the registration number of the taxpayer's account card;
4. copy of marriage certificate, certificate of education, certificate of birth of children (if any);
5. copies of documents on education;
6. available military registration documents (military registration certificate);
7. 3x4 photos in the amount of three pieces (on the back you should indicate your name).

Important! Following the amendments to the mobilization legislation, a citizen is now entitled to receive a military ticket only after passing the military medical commission. In practice, this is necessary in order to understand the level of a person's fitness for military service in the Armed Forces.

Is it possible to get a military ticket in electronic form?

Yes, because since June 18, 2024, an electronic version of the military ticket has been available in Ukraine, which has the same legal force as the paper version. You can get a military ticket in electronic form in the following ways, namely:

• Through the District Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support. To do this, you should go to the TCC at the place of your location or stay to register or replace your military registration document;
• Through administrative service centers. To do this, you need to come to the ASC in person, update your information and confirm it, then the administrator will enter this information into the electronic system and it will be automatically pulled up in Oberig. After passing all these stages, the person will be able to receive an electronic document with the corresponding QR code;
• Through the recruit's electronic cabinet. To do this, you should install the application on your mobile phone, update your personal data (if it has not been done before) and generate an electronic document with the corresponding QR code. It should be noted that the validity of such an electronic document (military card) is 1 year from the date of its formation.

Important! It is possible to obtain a military ticket in electronic format only if such a document was previously issued in paper form by employees of the TCC and JV.
