CORRUPTION IN THE STATE TAX SERVICE OF UKRAINE – HOW TO FIGHT IT?!

On August 16, 2022, at 15:06, the official website of the State Tax Service of Ukraine published the order of the DPS of Ukraine dated August 15, 2022 No. 539 signed by at. of the chairman Tetyana Kiriyenko "On the formation of a working group for assessing corruption risks in the activities of the State Tax Service of Ukraine and approving its composition" (https://tax.gov.ua/diyalnist-/zakonodavstvo-pro-diyalnis/nakazi-pro-diyalnist/77549 .html), according to which in accordance with paragraph 3 of the order of the State Tax Service of Ukraine dated 19.07.2022 No. 451 "On the assessment of corruption risks in the activities of the State Tax Service of Ukraine", it orders the formation of a working group for the assessment of corruption risks in the activities of the State Tax Service of Ukraine and to approve it as a member , which is attached.

Today, the DPS has started work on forming a list of normative legal acts and administrative documents regulating the activities of the DPS.

In addition, the DPS initiated the issue of conducting training (introductory training) for the members of the specified working group by the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption.

"Creation of such a working group is the first step in overcoming those corruption schemes that have permeated the tax system of Ukraine today. In the future, it is very important not just to formally hold a meeting and end it, but to thoroughly work out every corruption risk, every corruption scheme and implement a transparent system of tax administration for the rapid development of business in Ukraine. So that every businessman is really motivated to pay taxes as much as possible, and every official is motivated to contribute to this, and not to think about his own corrupt benefit. I hope for effective work and a real effect of changes for Ukraine."
