BOOKING FOR THE PERIOD OF MOBILIZATION AND FOR WAR TIME

During martial law, not all persons liable for military service are subject to conscription, including those booked for the period of mobilization and wartime for state authorities, other state bodies, local governments, as well as for enterprises, institutions and organizations.

Article 23 of the Law of Ukraine "On mobilization training and mobilization" directly and unambiguously determines that those liable for military service, booked for the period of mobilization and wartime by state authorities, other state bodies, local governments, as well as for enterprises, institutions and organizations in the manner prescribed by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Reservation is subject to persons liable for military service, carrying out activities in peacetime and wartime to ensure the functioning of state authorities, other state bodies, local governments, as well as enterprises, institutions and organizations in a special period. Booking is also possible if it is necessary to ensure the functioning of these bodies and the fulfillment of mobilization tasks (orders).

How to get a booking?

The booking procedure consists of several successive steps:

• State authorities, other state bodies submit to the Ministry of Economy proposals approved by the Ministry of Defense for booking persons liable for military service in the relevant areas of government, sectors of the national economy, enterprises, institutions and organizations in printed form and / or in electronic form with appropriate justification.
• The Ministry of Economy summarizes the proposals submitted by state authorities, other state bodies for booking persons liable for military service and within one working day makes an appropriate decision and sends a copy of it to the Ministry of Defense, as well as to these bodies.
• The decision of the Ministry of Economy specifies the duration of the delay, which may exceed six months.

Confirmation of the granting of a deferment from military service during mobilization and wartime is an extract from the order of the Ministry of Economy on booking.
