An accident at work – the actions of the employee and the responsibility of the enterprise

An accident at work is a sudden event that occurred during the performance of work duties or performance of work on behalf of the employer, resulting in injury, poisoning, heatstroke, sunstroke, frostbite, drowning, other health damage or death of the employee .

Actions of the employee during an accident

1. Keep calm and provide first aid to the victim. If you witness or participate in an accident, immediately take measures to provide first aid to the victim.
2. You must immediately notify your supervisor, foreman or other authorized person about the incident.
3. It is not recommended to change the place of the incident before the arrival of the investigation commission.
4. Cooperate with the investigative commission. Provide true and objective information about the circumstances of the event.
5. Seek medical help. If you are injured, see a doctor immediately.

2. Investigate accidents. Every accident at work must be investigated by a commission established by the employer. Based on the results of the investigation, an act is drawn up in which the causes and circumstances of the event are determined, as well as measures are taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.
3. To compensate the damage caused to the employee. Damage caused to an employee as a result of an accident at work shall be compensated by the employer in full. This includes medical expenses, loss of working capacity, as well as moral damages.
