Adoption. This is the priority and the only form of child care that can provide him with real parents and a full-fledged family. It is possible to adopt a child only on the basis of a court decision, while the adopted child is equated to his biological mother and has all the rights of the child by birth for life, and the adoptive parents - all the rights of their parents.

In this case, the child loses contact with the blood family, and contacts with it occur at the discretion of the adoptive parents. On the basis of a court decision, adoptive parents can change the last name, first name, patronymic, date and place of birth, enter such information into the act record and receive a new birth certificate. The baby has real brothers and sisters, grandparents. The secret of adoption is protected by law.

Guardianship and guardianship

Guardianship and guardianship is the transfer of a child who has lost parental care for upbringing to others. Guardianship is established over children under the age of 14, and guardianship is established from 14 to 18 years old in cases where, for example, the child's parents have died, are recognized as missing or dead, deprived of parental rights, when, by a court decision, the child's stay with parents are dangerous to his life; when parents are recognized as incapacitated or partially capable, do not take part in his upbringing and maintenance; do not show parental attention and care, turned out to be from the child, planted him, which is confirmed by the internal affairs bodies, is under investigation, etc.

Under guardianship and trusteeship, legal relations with a blood family are preserved, and when the child reaches the age of majority, legal relations between the child and the guardian cease. Blood parents and other blood relatives have the right to communicate with the child and visit him, if they are not deprived of parental rights and if this does not contradict his interests. The secrecy of guardianship and trusteeship is not provided for by law.

Patronage

Foster care for a child is temporary (up to 6 months) care, upbringing and rehabilitation of a child in the family of a foster caregiver for the period of overcoming difficult life circumstances by the child or his parents. A child is placed in a foster care family by a guardianship and guardianship authority on the basis of an agreement, and the foster caregiver receives remuneration for this.

Foster family

A foster family is a form of placement of orphans or children deprived of parental care, in which the family takes the child for upbringing and living together. Foster parents can be both spouses or persons who are not married, they are the legal representatives of the child.

The legal relationship with foster parents lasts until the child reaches the age of 18 or until graduation from vocational and technical, higher educational institutions, legal relations with a blood family remain. In a foster family, no more than 4 orphans or children deprived of parental care can be brought up. The foster parents retain the right to alimony, pension and social benefits.

Family-type orphanage
