3rd disability group traveling abroad

Article 23 of the Law of Ukraine “On mobilization preparation and mobilization” defines the categories of persons not subject to mobilization. Among these categories are persons with disabilities.

Consequently, men with group 3 disabilities cannot be mobilized for military service, regardless of age.

Thus, men with group 3 disabilities can freely cross the border during war.

In order to cross the border, for this category of persons such men must have the following documents:

• International passport for traveling abroad.
• A document confirming disability, such as a disability certificate, Medical and social examination certificate or pension certificate.

If a man with a group 3 disability plans to travel abroad for a long time, he must notify the Territorial center of procurement and social support about going abroad. To do this, you need to contact the Territorial center of procurement and social support at the place of registration and submit an application for temporary travel abroad.

The following documents must be added to the application:

• International passport for traveling abroad.
• Document confirming disability.
• A document confirming the purpose and duration of travel abroad.

Features of traveling abroad for men with group 3 disabilities during the war:

• If a man with a group 3 disability plans to go abroad, he must ensure that the documents are properly completed.
• If a man with a group 3 disability plans to travel abroad for a long time, he must obtain a permit to travel abroad at the place of registration.
